The City Series So Far
Northridge drew first blood in this year's city bragging-rights race, handling Greeley Central 37-13 last week. The Wildcats have had a rough start at 0-2 — a 13-6 loss to Standley Lake in the opener and then the Northridge defeat — and there's no better way to flip a season's story than beating your crosstown rival.
Why We Cover This
Friday night football is one of the last places in America where a whole city shows up in the same place at the same time. The stands at a West–Central game hold more of Greeley than any council chamber ever will. That's community infrastructure, and it belongs on this site right alongside the civic fights.
