Local Suggestions

Greeley runs on word of mouth. These are the spots, shops, and small businesses our neighbors keep telling us about.

Picked by people, not algorithms

Every suggestion here starts with a neighbor saying "you have to check this place out." We feature the coffee counters, taco windows, barbershops, and family-run storefronts that keep downtown and the rest of Weld County alive — the places that don't buy ads, they earn regulars.

We're building this list out with the community, one recommendation at a time. If your favorite spot isn't here yet, it's because you haven't told us about it.

LINC Library Innovation Center: Free and Full of Surprises

If you haven't been inside LINC yet, it's far more than a library. The 64,000-square-foot downtown hub has a children's library you enter through a hobbit door, hands-on exhibits built with the Denver Children's Museum, a full makerspace with a woodshop, 3D printers and laser engravers, plus a recording and podcast studio anyone can book. There's free printing, free wifi, and study and meeting rooms.

Hours: Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–8 p.m., Friday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday 1–5 p.m. Heads up — it's closed Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day.

Glenmere Park: A Hundred Years of Greeley's Backyard

Glenmere Park has been Greeley's gathering spot for over a century — a 15-acre park laid out in the early 1900s with winding paths, mature shade trees, a gazebo, a playground, and a pond that draws ducks, geese, turtles, and the neighbors who come to watch them. There's a small fishing pier at the end of Glenmere Road; the pond holds largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill.

No parking lot — grab street parking along Lakeside Drive, Glenmere Boulevard, or 14th and 17th Avenues. Early morning and sunset are the quiet hours; weekends fill up fast.
