Bears: Two in a Row

A week after finally getting into the win column, Northern Colorado did it again, and with room to spare: UNC 37, Utah Tech 13 Saturday night at Nottingham Field, in front of a Gotta Get to Greeley weekend crowd. That's two straight wins and a 2–3 record after an 0–3 start.

Now the hard part. The Bears go to Montana on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. Mountain at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, one of the toughest road trips in the Big Sky. Then it's at Eastern Washington on Oct. 10 (5 p.m.) before they come home to face Cal Poly on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m.

UNC volleyball swept Montana State 3–0 at Bank of Colorado Arena on Saturday and plays at Utah Tech tonight.

Crosstown Volleyball Tonight

Greeley Central at Greeley West, tonight at 6:30. It's been a tough start for both programs, which makes a crosstown match the perfect night to get a win and some momentum. Pack the gym. West also hosts its invitational on Saturday. Northridge is at Loveland tonight and hosts West on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Soccer: Northridge Keeps Rolling

Northridge is the hottest team in town, 7–2 after a 5–2 win at Roosevelt on Tuesday. The Grizzlies host Severance next Tuesday. Greeley Central (4–2) has won two straight, taking last week's crosstown match 1–0 over West and then beating Mountain View 4–0. The Wildcats play Loveland tonight. West hosts Windsor tonight at District 6 Stadium at 6.
